Removing the paint from aluminum wheels

    Well, the paint on my aluminum wheels is bubbling and flaking off. I would like to remove the paint and oxidation, apply some zinc chromate primer and a new coat of black paint.

    Anyone here removed the paint using any other method than a sander? Thinking of trying a needle gun from Harbor Fright.

    You could possibly do a fine grit sandblasting, something that wont pit it up really bad.
