A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Oil filter 90915-YZZD3
    Drain plug gasket 90430-12031

These are the numbers off the service ticket just before I bought the truck, and I recorded them. Doesn't mean mine are right, or the numbers haven't changed in the last year.

    It's a common filter. Same one that's in my '04 Highlander, which is a 3.3 V6.

Sorry I can't validate more than this for you; but I use Purolator Pure One or Wix filters..........

That G2 is what I currently got on the truck now.

I have been using 90915-YZZG1 in my 2013 2.7. Does anyone know why there is a difference in the last digit of the part number. I have been using the above part number since I got the truck in 2013. I have a suspicion that they are the same filter.

That's what I was thinking, but I just wanted to make sure before I go purchase 10 of them.

So I'm guessing the G1 and G2 filters are the same?

Yes, I use the D3 on my 4 cyl. My dad also uses the D3 filters on his V8 Tundra.

Go to a Online Toyota parts site and type in 90915-YZZG1. The site will tell you the part has been superceded and the new part number is 90915-YZZD3. I went to the dealer to get a case of filters and the parts man told me they are using the D3 filters for the G1 filters.

If I wanted to go with the Fram Ultra Synthetic filter, Autozone says it is the XG-3614 for the Tacoma 4 and 6 cyl. But that one seems to be the shorter filter. Anyone else use this filter? If so, which one? Thanks.
