If you want a true lighting upgrade, OEM lenses will be best. If yours are in poor shape get new OEMs or a CAPA certified part equivalent. Cheap aftermarket lights will be crap in quality and lighting optics.

If you want a real lighting upgrade, look at running Orsam 85w hyper H4s with a standalone harness to protect your wiring. They will have correct optics for a lens designed for halogen bulbs and put out nearly 2x the lumens over stock.

HID or LED retrofits will not match the halogen reflector, causing scatter and wasted light not to mention blinding oncoming drivers. Cheap aftermarket lights will not have undergone proper engineering certification and be even worse off.

Stick with your OEMs, add a brighter bulb. Keep in mind that those brighter bulbs tend to burn out quicker since they are over powered. If that is still not enough, pony up the $$$, or $$$ and effort, to upgrade to a true HID retrofit.

They are replacements, I was going to do the black-out OEM mod to my originals, but one of them was cracked, so I decided to try these.

I was surprised at the quality and fit of these and as I said, I am happy with my purchase so far. I also believe that the OEM is a better built housing and may technically perform better, but I decided to take a chance as I live in the area of little rain.

I did silicone seal all the way around on these before installing as these aftermarket lights are notorious for leaking.

I'm also pleased with the LEDs and DTRL upgrade that @csjumper2003 did. Just know you are taking a risk when going away from OEM and it's all on you.
