Door locks

I have a 2012 Prerunner. Bought about a month ago. My doors do not auto lock when in drive. Is this normal. My 4Runner and all other vehicles auto locked the doors when you put in drive and go over about 5mph. Mine never lock.

 

The only way to do it is with an aftermarket alarm it can't be done otherwise. Just had mine done when the installer put in the remote start. 3 seconds after starting they all lock, and all open immediately when I turn the car off

 

So Tacoma does not lock the doors when moving? Thought this would be a standard safety thing.

 

You would think but the Tacoma is actually behind in the times bro.

 

What kind of remote starter did you put in your truck?

 

Don't know exactly it was dealer installed. But I just went back for them to have all doors lock once I start it, and to have them unlock once I turn it off. Couldn't be happier with it now
