    Too many variables. Take it to a repair shop to have it diagnosed.

    You could check the relay, although it would probably keep it from running altogether? If it doesn't fix it, return the part...
    Could be the clutch. Could be a lot more than that.

    As stated above, difficulty to diagnose. Been there. Good luck.

    OK, more specifically, a/c stops running after it's been on for sometimes a half hour, sometimes as much as two hours. Doesn't seem to matter what level the fan is on. after it's been off for a while, sometimes minutes, it can be turned on again, only to repeat the same process.

    Low on coolant, and you have a leak.It will continue to do this until the coolant level drops so low then it will stop coming on at all. There is a low pressure switch that is dropping the system off.

    Have the leak repaired and then refilled the system with coolant.
