Well, my JBL head unit has started acting funny. With the gauge light brightness at 0%, and 30%-60%, the screen and buttons on the headunit flash back and forth. This hasn't caused any problems with sound quality although it is annoying. I will attach a video.

Anybody got any idea for a fix? I called Toyota and apparently my warranty doesn't apply here so they will be refunding me a prorated part of my extended warranty to the tune of $834 bucks.

While I'm quite happy with the sound quality and look of the factory unit, I might just have to go aftermarket.

Video (sorry the quality isn't fantastic, but the blinking you are seeing is the head unit, not the poor video quality. At video second 0:19 you'll notice it stops. That is because I adjusted the gauge light brightness.)

Yep, the rest of the lights in the cab, and exterior are unaffected and function as normal.

Awesome, the second one I've seen. Internal radio issue. Need a new one.

I figured as much. Wish the Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX didn't cost almost $1500 and fit in our trucks! It'd be on the way in a perfect world.

Sure do wish they would come out with a f'n head unit that wasn't full of issues. I had a Pioneer 4800BT and 90% of the features worked great, but the other 10% bugged the shit out of me so I returned it.

I just want to use GPS Nav, use Pandora from my phone and control it from the headunit, and not have a stupid cluttered screen. Seems to me I need to get an iPhone to get the most out of these things.
