    Hi all,

    1998 V6 4WD.

I have been replacing all of the coolant hoses in my aging truck and I'm down to the oil cooler coolant hoses. I started to tackle this but aborted. I think I can get the hoses at the oil cooler from the wheel well, but the one near the thermostat looks like it might require removal of alternator. Is this about right?

Also, not surprisingly my oil pan always has oil on it although it never really hits the ground. I replaced the valve cover gaskets a while back but I do see some wet oil below the oil cooler. It looks like the oil cooler o-ring and bolt gasket can be changed fairly easily once the hoses are off. is this true?

I replaced all of the other hoses and to be honest, I could barely tell the difference between the original old ones and the new Toyota replacements - amazing. But like a lot of other people here I can't take a chance on being stranded.

    Thanks
