I'm putting this out there to see if anyone knows, or can fabricate a decent battery cage/tie down that will work on a 27f interstate sized battery. Put a call in to pellfreybilt because I saw he makes on for the series 31 diehard but that won't fit. Not much to choose in the wold of aftermarket parts. Long story short my battery came loose and one of the tops that contains the water came off and was lost. It's a design flaw. I need a better solution. My ears are open

Not sure what the tray and the down look like on a 05 but it should be pretty simple. A properly sized tray can be had for cheap at most auto and marine parts stores. Same with threaded J-hooks and they can be bent to shape if necessary. Top straps in any configuration can be made out of mild steel, stainless, or aluminum with nothing more than a vise, hammer, and a drill motor. A rough but serviceable job can be done with nothing but two pair of pliers and a drill.
