Went a little nuts with some carbon fiber vinyl.

    Did my AC controls with this same stuff a couple weeks ago and Ill agree this stuff is FAWESOME! ill prolly just do the center/shifter console area and be done but great job OP! +1

    Removed the damn stickers!
    I placed a sheet over the entire top then heated the material above the holes to stretch it while running my fingernails along the inside lip. Then took an exacto blade and cut off the excess. I did use the primer on the inside lips for better adhesion.

    Not sure how rough your stuff is but the cupholder I did is painted silver on top. I'm sure you could sand it smoother but I would make sure it's clean afterwards and use the primer on all the surfaces you think would be problematic. Heating it seems to make it more sticky as well as very pliable.

    any problems with the plate behind the ac controls? being that it has a weird texture on it, I have an 06 not sure if its different then yours but just curious if you used the primer on it then lad it down and how well did it stick.

    A few things
    Old thread I know but Im about to tackle this carbon wrap project this weekend. Any tips on removing the stereo/stereo panel?
