The Access tonneau works well and is a quality cover. Plus it's priced very well.

Just looked at the market a month ago myself. Went with the Truxedo Lo Pro. Fit like a glove, installs in 20 minutes. I can't comment on longevity but it gets high marks in initial quality. Took it on a 2500 mile road trip including a 10-hour stretch of 75 mph interstate each way and it still looks tight & new.

Coming up on 15 years in the aftermarket so I'll throw my nickel in the pot. First, I will say that I am a total Truxedo whore when it comes to that style of cover, I wouldn't use anything else.

BUT ... if I were to ever buy a Tacoma, I would go with an Access cover all the way. Access has the hands-down, absolute best design on the planet when it comes to the integration of the OEM rail system with a tonneau. Access could be double the price of a Truxedo and it would still be worth every penny in my eyes.

One more for the Access. I have had the Lodado on my '05 for 9 years now, and it still looks pretty new. The only thing that shows it's age are the two plastic clips on the top (they are a little oxydated. I put a little Meguires on them when the truck gets detailed, and they look new again).

I have the original access cover. the rails still work after you install the cover. Creates additional space between the side and the rail.
