2007 Tacoma Access Cab

I have a 2007 Toyota Tacoma access can so its a 4 cylinder so I was wondering if I could lift it. Nothing crazy, like a 3" max with 30 or 31" tires. I was wondering if you have any major effects since it's a 4 cylinder, help a young man out!
