Seemed pretty easy to do yesterday when I ripped my passenger front flap off backing up a small curb to get to hooked onto a trailer.

My truck is lifted 4 1/2 to 5" in the rear and 3" in front on 285's. Hard to pinch flaps.

I just bit the bullet and bought some Rokblokz. I drive through plowed over corn fields for hunting and the stock flaps would get ripped off (happened to a hunting partner of mine). There is a Rokblokz group buy going on right now.

    Are floor mats a mod?
Mine are off, and I'm just gonna spray Bed liner on the parts of my quarters that get blasted by rocks.

I took the rubber flaps off my 82 Toyota and fit them to the front of my 06. Worked great.

I used sand paper to get the white 4x4 sign off my stock mudflaps, but i jave heard paint thinner can do the trick.

If you choose sandpaper get plenty of masking tape down first...

Trimmed 3" off of my fronts today and reinstalled the torn off one. We'll see how long that lasts.

After taking mine off a few days ago, I cut 'em down 4" and re-installed. They look a LOT less offensive to my taste now. They'll stay for the short term, until bigger tires require they go away. That'll probably be a year or so down the line.

It's a truck....mudflaps just seem like they need to be there. I personally wouldn't dream of taking mine off. In fact, IMHO...the Taco looks incomplete without them. One thing I would do, is if I had a 4x4 I would replace the rears with Prerunner flaps because nearly every 4x4 I've seen....the "4x4" is faded and/or rubbing off....especially on the passenger side...perhaps because of the exhaust. :notsure:
