Purchased a 2015 Tacoma PreRunner SR5. I owned Toyota's before ('85 Tercel Wagon; '84 Pickup - base model with carb - rode that one 12 years 150k miles). Back to Toyota.

I used this site to get my question answered about a noise the engine made after shut down. Sounds like an auto electric fan on the radiator that was grinding when it shut down. The engine shuts down, then there is a mechanical noise that grinds (whines?) to a stop after the engine shuts off. According to the posts here, it's normal.

These two pictures are as she came from the dealer. The second one is at the dealer waiting in line to get my side boards installed.



This next one is with the running boards installed by the dealer as part of the negotiated price.
