Now that's a bed extender worth buying.
One pic looks like the tailgate is up and the other is down. Did they fit in the bed?
Why hello there... Dat truck though
You'd think if you put the pedal to the floor in regular mode it would automatically shift like an ECT, I'd like to see the two race.

Perhaps i should elaborate my question.

Can you compare it to any other vehicle? Does it feel "slow" even with the ect engaged? If you mash the pedal in regular or ect mode do they feel similar?

Did you measure the difference in mpg, or just making a blanket assumption?

In my current vehicle, if i engage "eco mode" if softens initial throttle inputs, and requires more pedal to maintain consistent speeds. The difference in mpg from standard or eco is less dependent on the mode and more effected by the type of driving.

if you have ever driven the new rav4 with eco mode and sport mode, its the same thing as ECT on/off.

my daughters rav4 is a dog in eco mode. the shift points/engine management sucks outside of ect.

My wife's Prius has all that built into it. It automatically shifts from ECO to PWR when it has to, but you can manually select PWR. It'll never win any drag races (except against Smart cars) but it isn't like trying to get an old 70's or 80's hatchback moving. My '87 Escort POS beater could measure 0-60 with a sun dial.

I believe the 1st gen Tundra was hulked to coincide with Toyota's entry into the NASCAR Camping World/Craftsman truck series. They raced the trucks first, then entered cars into the Busch and Sprint series in the next year or two... or three.

Toyota pleaded no contest to the Ranger and Ford was given the compact truck market. The larger Tacoma (1st gen Tundra) took over the mid size market after that.

    ... but I digress.

Nice truck doing truck stuff, BTW!
