So I bought a 2015 tacoma and decided that some addons would be cheaper if I did them myself.

So I want to install a backup camera......but im not sure if it's plug and play. I found a 20$ backup camera on Amazon that I wanted to install..........but is it as easy as I think it is?

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you

Mine was wired. I just installed the Rostra which was plug and play. Look at the wire loom leaving the plug under the truck to be certain it has all 4 wires.
The Rostra screws right into the handle mount. Took me about 15 minutes to install. I paid about $150 on Amazon.

I looked at the OEM on EBAY it gave the list of compatible vehicles. It did not list a 2015 access cab with convenience package. Does anyone know if this will work? I verified the wires are there. Thanks jay coma

It should be, I bought an aftermarket camera kit for my 2015 Access cab convenience package and it was plug and play. Had it installed within 20 mins.

I installed that Rostra on my 14, and it's not working. Someone mentioned look at the wire loom and make sure it has "all four wires"... are you talking about the stock wire loom? My stock wire loom under the truck has only 1 wire (blue) going to it.
