stopped at my local dealer to get my immobilized re-flashed (lost my keys in Europe) so I thought I'd check out the new ride. There are a lot of posts coming around with pics right now, but I'm not really seeing any details regarding fixes to mods that are commonly done. So here we go:

Exhaust has been very much improved as far as clearance. The 2nd gen muffler is routed so that the pipe is the lowest point in the truck, below the skids. The new model is still slightly lower but it is much better.

The grill we have all determined is massive. Some like some don't. But, one good thing is that there is PLENTY of clearance between the radiator/horns/etc. so no re-routing the oil cooler necessary.

The rear view mirror is in the same location, so it is still low hanging. But it does seem to adjust a bit higher than 2nd gen. I'm thinking immryo will still have his beer money.

The rear seat has the exact same plastic liner than many rip out for better storage.

The vent for the rear dif is STILL not extended. So the relocation will still be necessary.

The front seats sit about the same height and still offer no adjustability. image.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpgimage.jpg

That is an improved exhaust? It's pretty exposed

Exposed, yes. But it isn't nearly as bad as the 2nd gens. The second gen if you slide down a rock has the likelihood of being 100% pinched off. This one would only dent it in about 20% or so. it could definitely be tucked up further though. Doesn't make sense to have it hanging lower than the cross member.

I do like the addition of the round vents, though. They will be much easier to point where you want than mine is.
