Im gonna get a Viper 2 way remote start/keyless entry (no security), and am just wondering what other modules/parts are needed to do the install on a 2005 TRD Sport? Just want to be sure Best Buy doesnt screw me with stuff i dont need, and possibly research getting the parts cheaper online rather than pay BB prices...

You will need a bypass module. There are several different ones that will work. I used one of the idatalink modules.

Bestbuy has this on sale, included bypass module and geeksquad install. I am planning to have this install on my 2015 tacoma this weekend.

Nm. I just realized that's for the remote start system. I paid $250 for my viper, but installed it myself.

Yes, you do still need the bypass module. You don't need anything else. Personally, I went with a full alarm so I could also have additional safety and window roll up/down features.

What type of full alarm did you get to be able to roll the windows up/down via the remote?

Almost any DEI (viper, python) alarm can do so. You just need the additional window modules. The window modules are sold separately. The 529T will do Windows up on arm. The 535T will do Windows up on arm and down when pressing the right combination of buttons. The 535T also has a vent feature. You need 1 module per two windows. Additionally, if you only want windows up on arm, the 535T can control 4 windows in one direction only.

I personally bought the 5706v viper alarm.
