Alright so I've owned my first toyota taco for about 3 months now and, I absolutely love it! Iv owned nothing but nissan since I've had my license (8 years now).

This is my first pick-up truck and just like my little 240sx's I can't leave it bone stock. Iv been doing some light off roading with the stock suspension but I want a little bit more clearance, it will make me feel better haha. So, I recently purchased a set of FOX 2.0 performance series coils, and in a couple weeks I will be get fox rears as well.

Question one is, will I need a replacement leaf kit to get the 2" in the rear? I will not AAL I'd rather replace the whole setup if I need too. Also if I will be needing any other parts please do tell me I would greatly appreciate it.

Question two, I'm currently running 265/65/17 on trd sport wheels. How big can I go in tire size with the extra 2" I'm trying to achieve?

To get rear lift, you will need either an AAL or a new leaf pack. The 3 leaf progressive AAL by Icon and others ride much better than the short single leafs that AALs are commonly known for. I have the progressive AAL on mine and like the ride. You should also check your leaf pack, if it is 2 leafs + the overload bottom leaf you have the bad TSB leaf pack. If you have the 3 + overload on the bottom you are ok. For the 2 leaf, I would replace the entire pack.

You can run 265/70R17 (1" larger than stock) on 2" of lift. You can see the pictures in my Baja link for about what that setup would look like with about 2" front lift and 1.5" rear lift with a progressive AAL on 265/70R17s.

At 2" of lift you shouldn't need any other parts, going higher you would need UCAs for proper alignment.

I just went out to check the leafs on my truck. Looks like I have the 3 + overload.

I had my frame and rear leafs replaced brand new from toyota when I bought the truck. I have about 7000 miles on them. AAL would be cheaper I'm guessing. What would be the advantages if I replaced the whole leaf pack versus the AAL?

Also would I be able to install the 265/70/17 before I lift everything? I plan on keeping the front fox coils at stock hieght for a little.

The AAL is cheaper, that is the advantage. A complete new leaf pack will manage weight better, have a better ride (depending on what you get) and be properly designed from the beginning to provide lift. The Toyota leafs are pretty soft for a truck. The full leaf pack is the better choice, but more expensive.

Basically the quality level goes: Block<AAL<Progressive AAL<Leaf pack.

265/70R17s will fit at stock height. You may have rubbing on your flaps or the front flap in front of the front tires in reverse depending on your offset. See the 265/70/R17 link in my sig for pics of that size on the stock setup.

OME 883# on Tundra 5100's, OMD custom 3" leafsprings, rear shock relocation, Ivan Stewart TRD rims w/285/75/16's, '02 bumper MOD, Famous Fabrications sliders , LED interior/exterior lights, bed bar, Custom tube bumper, Old school KC day lighters,Red Ring 8" HID flood, Kenwood vhf 2M.. umm some other shit I'm forgetting right now
You won't want to go over 275/70's or 285/75's , even with the lift you'll rub on cab mounts in full turn
