I just pack a wool blanket for my dog and when he finally settles down for the night, I throw it over him. It's just a cheap Harbor Freight wool blanket and has held up well for a few years now. Washes fine too.

yea ive been using my coat that I wear during the day. you know, until the little bugger decided to throw up on it the first night we were out haha. then we were both cold the rest of the trip! she hasn't figured out that eating leaves and sticks and random bugs aren't good for her yet.

My dog would not be happy under covers haha, at least he isn't in the house. Maybe if he were actually cold he'd realize that by staying under them he stays warm....

haha mine doesn't either unless shes cold. I turned her into a burrito using my sleeping bag liner and all my extra clothes. she was ok with that for about 30 min until she warmed up, then wriggled her way out. Im seeing if I can locate the picture.

The German Shepherd Dog, Belgian Malinois, and Giant Schnauzer all make great dogs for protection. Not so sure about Dobermans--they seem a little too schizoid (my personal opinion).

I've never seen a giant schnauzer K9 unit. Will have to keep my eyes peeled.

When I was actively training them, we had exactly one deployed. Pretty good dog. You see them more in Europe.

Two days ago at the trainer kennel. My athlete. Rookie gun dog. Someday, she may be a champion.

Previously had a Shep and a Schip.., now two more Schip's, not including a couple of Malamutes as a kid.

All of these pups look like a hoot, nothing better than a compadre who doesn't care about your crappy day at work.
