I want to get your tail gate cap and heavy duty cross bars and possibly side rails to. The only thing I'm worried about is my bike not fitting in the back cause I have a tool box. I do have the 6ft bed though.. my brother just pointed that out.

You can always put the rear wheel up on the tailgate if you can't close the gate.

That's how I will have to do it but I'm worried that my bike will go passed the tailgate. Are you still planning on putting some small holes in the tail gate cap so that you can mount a strap around the rear tire? I want to order this soon since riding season is already here and I hate strapping down my bike every time I go for a ride.

Your bike would have to be ridiculously long for that to happen.

It sounded like a good idea ta the time, but I don't know.....

Do you mean fork mounts? Or the cleats that attach them to the truck's rail system?

The fork mounts 9mm ones to mount the bike on the rails. I'd be willing to test it out if you were interested in trying it still. I've seen your video of the bike not bouncing at all with the tire just resting on the tailgate but just a little extra security put the mind to ease sometimes you know. Haha

The fork mounts are $20 each.

The rear tire needs to be secured to the tailgate with a bungee. Definitely do not try to drive with the rear tire up on the tailgate unsecured.

Alright cool. If I were to ask you to make a couple of holes in the tail gate cap for me would you be willing too? I'd like to be able to run a small bung through them like this guy did. 5e0e857114f9b447985b8d159fe672f6_d939a8673723acc1e64934bac68e605186af109e.jpg

I could run a drill bit through there, but it might be better if you do it yourself after you figure out exactly where you want them.
