Hello. I have a 12 DCLB 4x4 TRD Sport with the chrome clad 18" wheels and I've recently purchased a set of 16" OEM off-road wheels. I plan on painting or powder coating the 16" set and want to make sure that the wheels are interchangeable with each other. Yes, I've searched and can't find the answer. I even thought of taking off the chrome cladding but I've read that it is a complete pain. Thanks in advance for your time.

Assuming your 16s came from a 2005+ then yes they are compatible, lighter and better for off road use. Flip the chrome ones on Craigslist or the for sale section here to offset your costs.

Just want to use the off-road wheels instead of buying new. The off-road wheels were cheap and I don't want to spend the time painting them or the money getting them powder coated and then run into some fit issues after the fact. Thanks.

Yes, newer than 2005. I appreciate your reply. Thanks.

No. The chrome clads are 18" and they came with the truck new. They look bad ass imo when the cladding is removed, but multiple threads state it's just about impossible without damaging them. So the 16" off-road wheels were purchased cheap. I'm just trying to stay OEM and keep the costs down. Thanks.

If they are from an 05+ they will fit - you could also test fit one if it would ease your mind. The tires won't fit though.
