While cleaning out my 2010 Tacoma PreRunner Double Cab last night I found my sliding back glass latch laying in the seat. It doesn't seam to be broken or anything it just looks like the bonding agent that kept it stuck to the window failed, maybe the Alabama heat got to it. But I'm asking what y'all would use to stick it back up on the window. I really don't want to have to go to the stealership because God knows they will bend me over a barrel with no lube and take a $2 fix and turn it into a $50-$100 replacement. So what bonding agent would y'all use to secure the plastic piece back to the window?

Wow never heard of that happening!

3M stuff seem pretty strong to me, don't know about that particular situation though

Well after I looked at it a little longer the latch part, the part that is on the sliding glass that hooks to the stationary piece, is broken, the plastic just broke off. It looks like the plastic just was over used and broke because it's at the part where it bends to unhook and slide. So I'll have to get a new piece. Idk how it broke cause I never open that window but oh well. For now the plastic latch is gorilla glued together so I'm hoping it holds out for awhile

Alabama heat and UV rays can destroy just about any plastic parts.

I would suggest a recycle yard but unless the latch was from a recent model you may be facing the same problem soon.

I wouldn't be surprised if you can't get just the latch, but have to order the entire sliding window. Hopefully not but I've seen cases like that before.
