I won't say it is quiet now, but has a different sound at idle I have to get used to. At least I know there is nothing broken and it has fresh oil. I was surprised the oil looked so clean, as compared to the OP's oil in the SC maintenance post.

Interesting. What damage can be caused (if any) from continuing to run it, if the coupler / spring is faulty?

And, what is the best way to have the dealer look into it? Again, the supercharger came with a note that described a noise at idle speeds as being normal and that no warranty work would be done to fix it....

I don't see anyway the damage could cause anything negative. The way the coupler sits on the posts, it may just have a bit more movement from stop to rotating. once its running the pressure should be pretty constant. I don't recall if the spring contacts the belt side or the rotor side pins.
The only way to check it is to drain the fluid and pull the cover off. But all that entails taking off the belt, pulley's and intake. Not a tough job...... if you don't puncture your radiator :anonymous:

Damn, that sure doesn't sound anything like mine. I was just at the dealer for service too.

Mine only has about 800 miles on it....that could be part of the sound difference.

I wish. Mine has sounded the same since I installed it.
