Man, the last time I've done a stereo system in my vehicle would have to have been 15 or so years ago. At the time, I had a Honda Accord with a precision power pc2150 and 2 12" image dynamic Idq's. I also had a bmw with a Rockford 800.1 pushing a power class 15" sub. I know I paid a ton of money for these amps back then. Was just browsing around thinking of doing a stereo in the Tacoma and seem these brands are priced significantly lower then what I paid years ago. The new model equivalents are going for under $300 from both companies. Are these still decent amps or is there something else I should be looking at. My plan is to get a box from mrmarv here on the forum. He seems to be the go to guy here. I would like to run 2 10" subs. Was thinking of going back with some image dynamic Idq 10s, as I see they are still around. Just a little undecided on my amp selection now.

gosh.. where do I start, 18x9’s on 275-65 ridge grapplers. Bilsteins, clazzio leather, audio consists of stereo integrity, fosgate power amps, sundown audio, hybrid audio. Plus more...
the fosgate punch amps are nice, the prime series are the lower end of them. image dynamics still makes great stuff !! u also got focal, hertz, hybrid audios. im sure someone will complain about each and everyone of them. it will be interesting to hear lol.
and mr marv is really nice as well as knows his stuff

Well.... Today's amps may use new tech, and production in child labor countries, but I still think older amps sound better. Yes, there are exceptions, but you are going to pay a metric crap ton of money for a modern really good amp...

Use the old stuff. It's paid for, (probably sounds better), and if it doesn't work like you want, then get something else.

I sure wish I had the old stuff. Would definitely use the amps.
