I'm pretty sure I know the answer BUT, I'm gonna ask anyway. Which scenario would be easiest for adding amplifiers, subs, door spkrs, etc. (DO NOT want to replace head unit; remain stock with head unit):
    1. Purchasing a Taco with non-JBL and getting something like a JL Clean Sweep to boost and clean up signal or and then add amplifiers, subs, etc.... OR
    2. Purchase a Taco with JBL upgrade and utilize those pre-amp outputs (they're there, right?) on the head unit and getting rid of all of the other JBL upgrades (except for the head unit; not interested in the JBL amp and sub :puke:) and adding aftermarket amplifiers, subs, etc.?
My understanding that bypassing the upgraded JBL wiring is a bit of a chore. Would it be easier to go with #1 and just buy the additional components necessary to boost head unit signal?
    Thanks for any input!

Just depends on your budget. I opted for a plug and play route and it was 1500.00. Im quite happy with the system. It's called OEM Audio+

    Thanks for the feedback, y'all.
As opposed to a plug and play, I'll be installing JL Audio subs and amps in a custom enclosure.
Just wondering if it is easier to go non-JBL and use a Clean Sweep to boost the head unit/stock signal OR if getting the JBL head unit and bypassing/removing the JBL sub and amp would be easier.
    Thx again!

Define "easier." Either way you're temporarily removing the radio, making a connection (or connections) and putting it back together, yes?

OEM Audio+ as well. Easy, and better sound then the OEM JBL system. It operates the same way, but uses better components from what I can tell. Looks factory and utilizes the stock head unit.

Sounds like my use of "easiest" was a poor choice of terms. My fault. I'm not looking for a quick/easy/simple/5-minute install. I'm specifically checking in on is it a huge hassle to work with JBL wiring when the JBL amp and sub won't be used. Is the wiring hassle worth it just to get the "aftermarket-esque" JBL head unit. Or is it just easier to use a Clean Sweep type component?
I'm fairly certain that the JBL setup will be a pain in the ass. Easier to go non JBL, plug in a Clean Sweep, and not have to deal with the JBL wiring, I'm thinking...
