Good Morning All, Thanks for the ad, just wanted to give everyone the heads up, the 3.4l 5VZ Supercharger is Back and Available for your Tacoma, 4Runner or Tundra. The line has been taken over by Magnuson Superchargers ( who was the manufacturer for TRD anyway) and they have taken over the production rights and are now offering it for sale again, and it now comes with a 3 Year, 36,000 Mile warranty as well. They are in stock and ready to ship from LC Engineering.

Are these compatible with the 96 taco? It doesn't list that year.

95.5-96 had a different ECM that can't accommodate the 7* of timing retard.
If you want the SC you need to swap engine harness and ECM from a 97+

I'm referring to the "new" Magnuson version... Yes it is the same thing, but knowing CARB they will charge a ridiculous fee to certify it in Magnuson's name..... I hope it does work out to be 50 state legal.

There's no difference except the badging. Don't over-complicate it and just give them the TRD EO. No smog tech will care.

    Workin' on it....
    I truly hope so.

I just bought my 2013 TRD-OR in June and I had no idea that Toyota was discontinuing the SC. That was one of the mods I was most interested in (ie. factory SC that doesn't void any warranty). I hope that someone picks up the 4.0 SC.

I don't necessarily disagree except that my experience here in San Diego is that the smog techs are getting very technical. My experience so far is if you have something they do not like they will refuse you, so you pull right in to the guy next door to him and try again......

There are some of the parts that will be available, a replacement bypass valve, and the service kits. Beyond that there are not really any other additional serviceable parts.
