Been reading, lurking, posting sometimes in the forums and have learned a lot. I just pulled the trigger on a 2015 Silver DCSB OR V6 with a bed mat. Got it at $31,255 down here in NC (32,877 OTD) Think the deal was ok as there aren't many left around.

I just purchased husky liners, truxport roll up bed cover from Amazon. Will be looking into tube steps down the road. Is it best to buy those from amazon and have someone put them on or should I have the dealer do it?

Any other accessories I need...maybe bed extender?

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!
Congrats on the purchase!! Don't have the dealer do anything. They're easy, and if you do it yourself, the pride that comes with it is priceless.

    1. Trade it in for a long bed instead of bed extender.
    2. Tailgate reinforcement (Relentless, vendor on this site).

Congrats on the truck! That is a good price, depending on the stereo option.

If you plan on taking your truck off road, sliders are better than tube steps. They will protect your truck and tuck up closer to the body.

Buy accessories as you need/want them. The Tacoma has good tie downs, I have managed to use straps and haul anything I need in my shortbed instead of a bulky bed extender.

Good choice. The 127 inch WB on the SB is much better to negotiate traffic. You get a long bed, it's 140 inches and you might as well have a full size truck. Great color. We have Husky liners in all our cars for the past 10 years and love them.

Holy chit, I've done a lot already!!

6 yrs with a Taco, and never needed the reinforcement. Now if I carried my wheeler or sled in the back, maybe. But my 220# ass has climbed on it with items on it, and straight as the day I bought it. Useful, but I'd say not necessary for most.

Hey csmith: got it at Mid State toyota in Asheboro. Think they have 2 left on the lot - another off road and a sport. They also have 2 2016's on the lot. Dealt mainly on the phone and email. When we agreed I finally went in today and there was no up selling on anything which was nice. Pretty much straight forward

gotcha. I deal with just about all of the Toyota dealers in NC that's why I was asking. Not in Asheboro though. Sounds like you had a good experience. Congrats! I just bought my 2015 a couple weeks ago. (My first Tacoma) :)

Perhaps. But I've heard enough stories to get the cheap insurance, plus I need it for another benefit: it has a straight top edge that will make my Leer cap door latch easier and seal better than the slightly surved stock tailgate.

Then it is a good deal. That is less than I paid for mine.

Enjoy it! Bought my 2015 DCLB in March from Modern Toyota in Winston Salem. Just what I wanted and I like the truck a lot. No issues thus far. I 2nd the recommendation for Relentless' Fab's tailgate reinforcement. Relentless is located in Nevada so it takes awhile to get but is well worth it. Got mine a month ago and am glad I did, was worried about bending the unreinforced tailgate.

If you happen to have any issues/questions with your truck, the service manager (Justin) at Midstate is a good guy and knows Toyotas inside and out. He drives an older lifted and built 4Runner and an FJ cruiser.

Congrats. I have my 2015 for two weeks now. I love it. I paid just over 32k, it had black running boards and a bed extender with it though. I would prefer racks over the bed extender but I'll throw them on myself. Towing package and engine audio plus too.
