I was only considering putting on that film to protect from impacts of road debris as well as the weather elements like mud, road salts, etc. I didn't know about uv inhibitors. Hadn't considered that. I also liked the size/dimensions.

Without measuring though, I think the headlight is more that 6" tall and I see that the roll is 6" x 48"... But that's just a guess.

EDIT: Went out and measured it, looks like 6" is just about right. Just a bit short on the tallest point.

Just some cheep Amazon ones, they claim an ip68 rating but we will see.

I dont want to spend $200-300 on rigid lights when I know im going to rarely use them. So far i like them and the fit my needs well.

 

I have piaa 510s (round) in mine right now. They are one of the fog light models. I used to need them for fill with the stock halogen headlights as they cast a low and wide beam but I don't need them any more with the projectors. Can't even tell they are on now. Besides both lenses cracked when I submerged them on the last trip. So its only a matter of time before the bulbs fail.

I've been considering small LED cubes to replace the piaas. I would use them as daytime driving lights for 2-lane roads and FS roads just for visibility for oncoming traffic.

I forgot to get an output shot but i need to angle them up a bit and go somewhere darker. Btw, I think I asked you this but who made your headlights? I think the chrome on chrome looks pretty good!

Also, im still working on my welding. Currently on 7018 arc welding and im almost done with that. Then I get to practice mig. Your bumper is still my favorite out there and i definitly want to try and make it some day!

Those pods seem pretty bright and it seems like a good price too. I hope they hold up to the rigors of the front bumper. I saw those but didn't consider them because they used epistar chips. May have to reconsider.

Ambguous did the retrofits for me. So far I'm happy. The chrome look turned out pretty good. Looks good anyway. There is some light scatter and a hotspot that bugs me a little bit. Its not horrible but I see it. I think it is coming from the chrome reflector. The projectors put out a shit ton of light as you kno. I think some of it reflects back from the inside of the plastic housing cover onto the chrome bowl and even the shroud. I suspect that is the source of my light scatter.

 

I see how they hold up and report back. Im still waiting on my BUSS box so i can permanently wire them and then ill get some output shots and post em up!

I plan to weld my sliders on next year. Still working on my welding skills.

Also the school I'm taking classes at has a CNC plasma so I plan to use that to make my skids since I already have the diagrams to make my own.

Still have em! Plan to put them on eventually haha
