Toyota has 711K + rear spring trucks to do.
So given your trucks year,I would say yes.
    But check the website.

I got the spring recall the other week and called toyota and instead of waiting on them to quit bullshitting, I decided that instead of getting another shitty leaf pack installed until they come out with less-shitty leaf packs and have to put an AAL in each of those, I was just going to get some nice leaf packs and ordered some all-pro expo's. Tired of dealing with Toyota Corporate's recall bullshit.

Huh? I have an 08 with 140k miles.. Not one problem. I did the front brakes at 70k, and I'm on my 3rd set of tires. Other than those normal maintenance items, I've had ZERO issues. If someones new tacoma starts going south at 2 years old, they got a lemon for sure.

Where did you hear the remedy is an additional clamp? My dealer told me they are replacing the entire packs, once the materials are available.

They are replacing the whole pack. They're just taking their sweet time about it.

This was the speculation a long time ago when this recall came out, so I wouldn't pay any attention it considering several people have been told by Toyota that we're getting new springs.

    Thanks...

I checked but it just says "certain 2005 - 2011 year models tacomas" so maybe? Maybe not?

I think it has something to do with manufacture date. :notsure: You might need to read into it some. Or call a dealer and have them run your VIN. They should be able to interpret, and willing since Toyota pays the dealer to perform the recall.

I went to Milton Martin Toyota in Gainesville ga to see the new 2016... talked to a guy about the recall.. what he stated to me he heard it will be a leaf helper spring. So not sure if that is true or not either...

Update: talked to the dealership yesterday, they were able to obtain the new 2016 updated springs for my truck. The service manager said my truck would be the first one they have done with the new springs. Got an appointment for next week.
