I've used Chewy before, but honestly Petco/local dog places or feed stores were at most a couple dollars more a bag than online.

For example, the food my dog eats is $60+tax for a 27lb at chewy. The store I buy it at 2 miles away is $62+tax. Petflow is $65. Just shop around...sometimes local is cheaper, sometimes online is.

Petco always has online sales with coupons though, so as long as you hit them at the right time and they have the food you feed they are probably the cheapest option.

Yea, it's not bad for me since the store is 2 miles away and you drive by it going to other places so its just a quick stop in. But if you had to go somewhere out of the way, I'd go with online.

Not sure what you are feeding, but a high quality dog food will go farther. I learned this the hard way. They actually eat less/shit less as there is better nutrition involved. A 30 pound bag goes a little over a month with Archer.

The smaller/fewer poops make it worth it in itself haha.

When picking food, I see it this way: spend money on good food now or vet bills later. Granted plenty of dogs have done well on the crap you can buy in grocery stores considering that was all that was available for a long, long time.

Just research the food. Some brands are popular because of marketing and the cost of the food has to pay for the tv ads, whereas you can get a better, lesser known brand for the same price.

I started using Fromm in February of this year. I was a devout Purina user before that, although I never tried the Pro Choice line. I have seen an incredible difference in his appetite, the size and consistency of the poop, and his energy level since I made the change. He was a skinny little shit before the change too, now he's filled out well.

My girl goes crazy when we go to the farm. 1st thing she does is run to the big pond and jump in.
Then come back and give me the look..."come on pop, get the bumper and let's play fetch"

Pup's first time at the beach! Had a lot of fun, he did really well but I think after a while he just got a little too tired and started to cry a little bit, but overall good day. Was hard at first to motivate him to get in the water but he eventually went in up to his belly.

How do you like the kelty pack? I tried a cheaper option but it was horrible. I've looked at ruffwear but didn't realize kelty made one.

    Not enough...
I've been having issues with my hip/knee/entire leg for the past 6 weeks and been limping around, cussing, in alot of pain and terrible mood lately. Unfortunately my dog has picked up on that and has been completely avoiding me lately. The dog who has been literally attached to me for the past 2 years, does not want to have anything do to with me now :(

I am so bummed about it. I know its not really intentional, but it just the worst feeling to see the creature that gets nothing but love and being totally spoiled shy away from me. He it fine when we go somewhere, but as soon as we get back home we just goes to his crate and spends all day there. We still play fetch, tugs and all kinds of games, but as soon as he is done back to the crate he goes. When we watch TV on the couch most of the time he would just go to his crate in another room. He no longer sleeps in his bed in my office next to me. He gets tons of treats and praise and love, but I can tell he is completely weirded out by me right now. He is a very soft dog so I don't force anything on him, but when we go to bed he just lays on the other side and stares at me, until he gets too tired and passes out and no amount of praising or love or treats makes him come close. This fucking sucks. I love this dog so fucking much.
