I personally liked the ride height of the base 2nd gen, but the features available in the 2016. I'm curious as to what a lowered 2016 would look like. I'd personally prefer a subtle 1"-2" drop for myself, which would bring it down to the factory height of the 2nd gen 5-lugs, but I'd like to see someone slam theirs just out of morbid curiosity.

Now just to be clear, the 2nd gen Tacoma came with 3 different ride heights. Standard, lowered X-Runner, and lifted PreRunner/4x4. The 2016 is not available in the two lower ride heights, essentially making it a lifted truck. Being that I want a 4x2, I don't think it's unreasonable to desire the standard ride height, which had been available from the factory for the past 11 years.

Move rear springs under the axle. Front drop knuckles. Should lower it a couple inches. Put some 26" car tires on it

I personally would have no use for a lowered truck, but to each his own. OP, I agree with wanting to see a slammed '16. In for future pics.....

I don't think OP is asking for a slammed truck. He says he wants a subtle drop 1 to 2 inches. That won't slam the truck at all. I'm curious as to what this looks like as well. I've got older parents and doctor visits are a normal routine. It's hard for them to hop up into the truck. I'm also not an off road kinda guy. I'm fine with 4x2, hence why I didn't care for a 4x4.(Didn't even think I was ever gonna get a truck..) I want to see what they look like with a subtle drop as well, doubt I'd do it, just a thought.
