Later today I believe im going to clean my MAF sensor and I was thinking about running some seafoam through my truck as well. What's the best way to go about running the seafoam, vacuum lines or gas tank?

Most people here who use it will run some through the vacuum line and some through the gas. I have tried the vacuum and did not get the results that some get - heavy smoke etc. My O2 sensor (pre-cat sensor) failed right after I did the cleaning, and some had warned that this might happen as a lot of soot might be released at once clogging the sensor. I can't say for sure that's what caused it, but it was kind of conincidental to happen at the same time.

When I first bought mine a little over a year ago I ran some Seafoam through it. I used the brake booster line. It smoked like crazy but since this truck was owned by my dad and very well maintained I didn't really notice any difference in the way it ran. I could see where it would really show an improvement for an engine that has been neglected from what I have heard. My CEL came on as others have said so I just disconnected the battery and waited an hour then hooked it back up and the light went off and stayed off. I use Amsoil PI every 5000 miles now but did use Sea Foam in the gas a few times after the booster line treatment.

I did my last truck every 20000 miles since new Overkill I know but I wanted to keep it clean. I did a third of a bottle in the gas tank, a third in the oil, and a third in the vac line to the engine from the brake booster. Let it sit for 30min then gave her drive it like you stole it hell for 100 miles. Wide open throttle everywhere high revs everywhere ect. Then changed the oil.

You can't tell a huge difference when you do it as often as I did. But I believe the stuff works. I did it on our 260k Camry and even the fiancé could tell there was a difference with the car(sometimes I wonder if she can tell the e brake is on or not) but she said the "engine felt free'er".
I don't run it through our audi's (too many sensitive/expensive sensors) but I do my to yotas and I have no plan on stopping.

I use it (in the gas tank) from time to time to keep the injectors clean. It doesn't produce extraordinary results, but I I drive my Tacoma daily. OTOH, it does wonders in my farm equipment that doesn't get used frequently. It works well as a fuel stabilizer and keeps gunk from building up in carbureted motors. I buy it by the gallon...
