Ahhh this sucks, Ive come to find out I have the original version of the sidebiter wheel, they changed the finish to satin VS gloss and made the lip smaller... :crapstorm: No clue why they did that, IMO the original version looks 10x better. So I either buy the newer style ones and have gloss in the back and satin in the front, buy all 4 new rims, or by the grace of god somehow find a set of the original sidebiters. So far no luck, everyone online has the wrong picture advertised and shows the gloss still, and some websites even say they have the original but when I call they say its the newer ones.

Update: I was able to locate the last 2 original style sidebitters in existence haha. I called at least 20 different places and no luck, But the guys over at www.desertrat.com called me back and found them. Even though one of them was scuffed a little I still got what I was looking for. Ended up ordering 2 of the new rims, and 4 of the new discoverer STT Pro tires all for under $1,500.

BTW to anyone looking for a complete wheel/tire combo.... ive been shopping around for weeks and turns out Desertrat.com had BY FAR the best deal. Call and ask for Barry and tell them a TW member sent you. Awesome customer service!

Good call. I can almost guarantee you MT would want to know about this regardless of how it happened.

Liability is a factor if they got a bad batch of metal stock. At minimum I'd want to know which run of parts was affected on the slim chance that it happened twice. But that's beside the point. I'm sure it was fine. But If I was a manufacturer I'd want to know about every instance my product failed, regardless of how it happened, what part it was, or who was at fault. Lives are saved by compiling data, no matter how insignificant it may seem at the time.
