depends what you are after, if you just want the function and weak motors and not the best finished look don't bother you then you can buy kits on ebay for around $100 to do it all, but you get what you pay for so im not a fan of them. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_odk...=Tacoma+Power+Window+Lock+Conversion&_sacat=0

if you want to put it in yourself with all oem factory used equipt and make your own wiring harness to cross the dash for power, I can tell you everything you need and how to do it. I just added all that to my 04.

well off the top of my head

    driver side door panel $100
    passenger side door panel $100
driver side door switch plate with switch $100
passenger side door switch plate with switch $50
driver side door wiring harness $50
passenger side door wiring harness $50
power window regulators and motors I got for $35 each
power door lock actuators 2 x $100 each for the pair so that's $200
for power mirrors the salvage yards wanted $150 each for them and I count find any for sale here or anywhere else so I went aftermarket and paid $69 for the pair
I had to buy the wire to make the wiring harness to cross the dash plus buy 3 relays to power things so all that adds up to around $50 more

the final piece you need is the electrical plugs from a donor truck that connect to the door wiring harness plugs. while this isn't required I just wouldn't want to be dealing with all that and not make it look stock when you are done.

so all totaled I spent a little over $850 to have it all look and be factory oem original Toyota. now take into account I can sell the old manual crank door panels for $100 each and also the manual door lock actuators will also sell for $100 each so I got $400 back on selling those. I don't think anyone is looking for a manual window crank regulator but im sure it would sell for the same $35 I paid for the electric ones I bought, I just never advertised them yet. assuming I sell those at some point I will be total out of pocket right at $390 to do it.

do you have cruise control? if not all you need to do is buy the steering wheel control switch for it and you will have it.

my truck had the standard basic rear view mirror with no map lights, no power windows or locks, and no cruise control. it now has all 3 and looks like it came from factory that way.

Thanks for the info on the power window option I will look into it. I was a little hesitant about those cheap kits but just wanted to hear it from someone else. No cruse it's a 5 speed manual. I don't need cruse anyway but the Windows would be awesome I hate when I pull up next to friend and have to lean over and crank away. It make me feel like an idiot. Shit my 79 Grand Prix I had when I was younger had power windows and now my 04 taco is all basic. But I've wanted a first gen style for years and this one was a great price for me.

if you decide to go all oem I can give you an explanation of how to do it all. first step would be easier if you could find a good set of power doors and the dash plugs that connect to it and doing that will cut costs down a lot not having to buy it all separate

It would seem that allowing such simple things to dampen your self esteem makes life more difficult than it needs to be...........

Good thing about manual windows is they always work.

Unfortunately not always true. They do break as well, just not very often. BTDT

However, it's nice to be able to roll them up when there is an approaching storm and you discover your battery has died.

This is the part i need help with i just purchased all of the above ( got a really good deal 350) not sure how to wire the rest up, I am sure i can get the connectors for the door harnesses from Toyota but would appreciate the help on the wiring and relays

well I can run you through everything but a good bit of it I covered in this thread here: http://www.customtacos.com/forum/15-interior-audio-electronics/180674-2004-door-wiring.html

it kinda meanders a bit in the thread but it gives you the details to do it all. after you read through it let me know and I can tell you what relays you need to buy for it.

you cant buy the plugs you need from Toyota, you can only get them from a donor salvage truck but im sure someone has an old wiring harness they can cut the plugs off to sell you
