Blew out a shock out wheeling today and I'm wondering where I can buy a replacement. I'm guessing that Napa doesn't carry rough country stuff. I would prefer not to order online so I'm wondering if there's somewhere local. 4 wheel parts maybe?

How would I know which ones to get to go along with my lift? The previous owner did the lift so I don't know anything about it

I'm pretty sure the shocks are part of the lift kit so how what I know what length shock to get or what the part number is? I can't go and buy on OEM shock because it won't fit.

I don't know if they (rough country)still operate the same way, they started out in El Cajon,Ca. about 5 miles from me back in late 70's/early 80's . The kits looked great but the leafs were too soft (sound familiar?) & the shocks were nothing more that a slightly re-valved, poorly sealed Monroe with the sleeve removed....

So what would be a better replacement? And how would I know which one to buy to match the height of my lift?

Lift, tires, mats, blah, blah, blah...
    As stated, OME or Bilstein.

Shock depends on height of vehicle.

    0-1", 1-3" type deal.

If you have 0-1" of lift you get the standard. 1-3 " you would get the extended length.

4WheelParts can get you Bilstein. Not sure about OME.
