EBC Green Stuff 6000 SUV Truck/SUV Pads - Noise?

(also installed slotted rotors from EBC)...

So when I first installed these, they were great...minimal noise and stopped well.

After 5-6000 miles I noticed that when cold these things were super noisy. Either I didn't notice it before or it became this way. It sounds really bad like metal on metal when its cold. Once I brake hard a few times and warm them up...no noise...

Is this normal? Or is something wrong? TIA.

 

I've run EBC green stuff on many vehicles, though not my 2nd gen. In my experience they were always noisy (mostly a loud drone) when laying into them, especially with slotted rotors.

 

Mine's like a metal on metal screech when cold. Once warm it doesn't make that noise anymore. The droning noise you're talking about I hear a bit but not much.

 

What's weird is I noticed that when I'm in a less humid location the brakes don't make as much sound???
