Yea exactly!lol.the output seems to be a bit brighter.i got another combo and the spot on this bar definitely seems to reach out further.I tired to take a short cut and hook it up to the harness that was still in my truck from the old bar..well then the bar wasn't coming on.Did numerous tests, and turns out that the bar would only work with the new harness they sent me..I assume it had something to do inside the harness,or maybe lumens or something.idk.I thought it would work since these harnesses are universal, but I was wrong. All is good now though.Took a extra 30 mins to get the harness ran and everything nice and tidy.

A harness is a harness, just a wire flowing 12v. Lumens is just the light output, nothing to do with the wiring. If that light didnt come on then there is someting wrong with your old harness. Did you happen to try yourl old bar you sent back on another power source or just run it straight to your battery to confirm it wasnt your switch/relay/harness?? There should be an inline fuse on your harness too, incase you happened to look that over?...

My old bar was working with the old harness before I sent it off,but I did not try it to a different/straight power source.ive eliminated the inline fuses,as I have a stand alone blue sea fuse box for all my accessories.it had to have been something in that old harness.i just couldn't figure what it was,but it's all working like it should with the new harness.I am very pleased....for now lol

That's odd how it didn't work with the old harness . . Had you check the fuse on the fuse box? Maybe was burnt ? Post up pics of how bright

Yes. I'd say you can probably do 3. I can take a photo tomorrow when it's light out for you without the grill so you can see

Nice looks good I agree that 2 doubles can fit. Well it's good to know that the Avec bars fit. Is it a tight fit ? Are those spots ?

Yea they fit. It is not a tight fit. I have more room to move the side mounts outwards. They are combo bars. Both roof and grill that I have.

Hey yall, I wanted to share my experience, to apologize in advance I know I can be a little long winded. I have never been extremely active on TW, mostly a habitual lurker, even that has been scarce lately taking a 18 hour load in college and working 5 days a week. Anyways, I got a 30" spot/flood combo Avec bar as a Christmas gift last December, I had done my research and told my girlfriend exactly what it was and put her in touch with Mike, who I understand is no longer with Avec. I was extremely happy with the product, no moisture and threw tons of light! Fast forward to late July/early August and I noticed three of the bottom spot LEDs are out. (I swear I took a picture but cant seem to find it on my phone)

Called Avec, was put in touch with Clayton, really nice guy, who told me to send it back to them and it'd be fixed or replaced no problem. USPS "lost" it in the mail, I waited about as long as you could before filing a claim, hoping it would just "show up" as USPS said. It never did, but I had kept Clayton up to date through the whole process. USPS ended up sending me a check for $83 and some change, which I appealed telling them how ridiculous that was. Rejected. When it was all said and done last week with USPS, I called Clayton and explained to him that I appreciated how helpful he was, but I hoped he understood I was not jumping out of my seat to pay another $190 (price paid for first bar) for a second bar, when the first one had a problem 8 months in. Is there anything we can work out here? His response was that the best he could do was 35% off, which came to around $240. More expensive than the first one. When the root of the problem was that the first light they sent me failed to perform.

I understand that it was not his fault the light was lost, and did not expect him to just say "Oh we'll send you another one completely free!" But I felt a little offended that the offer to keep my business was to charge me $50 more than the first one I had bought. Needless to say, I damn sure won't be suggesting Avec to anyone again.

Scott, I've been reading back a few pages and it looks like I'm not the only one, you're right. (I think that makes me feel a little bit better?) Either way, I was shocked at how much they don't care.
