Hopefully her insurance covers it all. As someone else suggested - insist on OEM parts and see if you can get extra money for diminished value as well. Now it'll have an accident on CarFax.

I drive defensively as hell. I assume EVERY driver is going to run the light/stop sign.

 

Rim did not break, just the plastic cover over the bolts. I'm no mechanic, but are some things behind the wheel that used to be straight and now have an ergonomic curve to them. But the wheel is not broken.

 

Car fax is a joke. Mine truck does not show as being wrecked after 2 years had frame damage. my dads camry shows as being in an accident 14 years ago in Atlanta. The problem is the car was in california at the time. my grandma is the original owner of the car so we know the entire history of the car.

 

Carfax only lists what someone reports to them. Garbage in Garbage out.

 

Mine got hit 33 days ago by an arab trying to pass me in the median. Insurance money got me a shiny new ARB bumper and lights

 

I like that color on your truck, mthouse01. Had a '92 Acura Legend coup that was about that color. Prettiest car I've ever had. Congrats on your bumper and lights.

 

@addicus24 thanks man! I've contemplated getting it repainted, about the same color but with more flake in the paint so it sparkles a bit more

do yourself a favor.... replace the wheel, spindle, hub, upper and lower control arm, shock and CV at the VERY least.

Essentially any suspension and driveline part on that corner, demand that it be replaced with 100% OEM parts.

 

Dude, that should just buff out Sorry for your trouble and hope you settle ok with the insurance folks. Nothing is easy!

I just found out her insurance had been cancelled!!!!!!!!

Beyond pissed right now!

 

I have a plethora of parts. Everything minus steering and swaybar. If it would help. No charge.

That sucks man, your insurance will cover it, at least you have her information, my truck hit this summer while parked by some broad.. She sped off and I couldn't get her info or plates.
