So I have a leak on my oil pan it's my fault I messed it up when changing the rear main seal its a long story lol anyways....

    I have a 3.4l 4x4

What all do I have to remove to get it out. I know the diff but that's not a problem I gotta change the gearing anyways.

Also I'm buying a brand new pan.

It is a toss up between removing enough below the engine just crawl under and look what needs to be removed .

    Or just pulling the engine

You need enough clearance to get the pan past the pick up tube

I had the advantage of having access to a lift when i did my rear main/oil pan seals. but while the tranny was out i ended up slowly loosening the front subframe/diff to lower it some, and then had to very carefully pull out the pan. Putting it back in was more of a pain because i had to squeeze it in without rubbing off all the silicone sealant.
