Hi TW! so i recently installed some maxtrac lift spindles on mt 2013 pre runner, i had the spindles for a while and decided to finally dig into this one myself...

Finished them the other day, running them with Bilies set at .85 and love the way it looks and rides, only thing is is that it makes a freaking knocking noise when i turn or hit a bump of any sort! i have read about this and i can not seem to find what the heck is doing this.

If any body had this same problem and resolved it please help! the car rides flawless except for that noise that is driving me up the walls!

    thanks guys,
    jake

Tie rods would be my guess. Mine use to do it until I lifted it more.

Also make sure the 4 hub bolts are still tight. I had 3 of them back out on me after a week. Sucks you can't get a torque wrench in there. If you encounter any bumpstere than I'd say that they are loose.

YES!!! HOLY SHIT YES!!!! I figured it out! there the sway bar connects to the spindle was tight but just barely loose poping up and down as the car would move from side to side! I recreated it when i had my dad jump up and down in the front passenger side of the car lol! :p but my god i want to kick my self for not seeing that before:annoyed:

    thanks guys for your input!!!!

Dang I would have never thought of that. I removed my sway bar so I forget there is supposed to be one there.

After installing my spindles, I had the same noise, I was livid after spending all the money. Turns out it was just one loose sway bar link, like you found as well. Retorque all after 100 miles!

My truck is a daily and 95% on road. With the 620# springs I have and no sway bar it corners like a stock truck maybe a tad stiffer. Even with the stock springs it felt great.
