Sorry, not sure, sounds similar to caster issues. Maybe its just your skinnier tires, I can't speak to that as I run 315's.

Toyota's buy 3 and get the fourth for a dollar doesn't work for cooper. Only Nitto and Bf Goodrich FYI.

Are you stock? If so any rubbing when you turn the wheel till you can't turn it no more?

Yes stock lift. No rubbing what so ever. Even full turn over harsh bumps

BTW I went from 265/65r17 to 265/70r17 so not a massive difference

Thats what I figured but wanted to ask to be sure. Looking to upgrade to these come winter time and was curious if they rubbed anywhere.

I wish I lived in GA. Effing Virginia did not. It's all good though. I am very excited about these tires. Thanks for the reply white taco.

for those wondering about width and such. tread width (at least close) going from 265 to 255 is .3 inches (for 16" rims) less in width according to Cooper's specs. seems to be at least .5 for 17" size

Never seen a comparison either, you might have to be the one to run the experiment!

I would be surprised if there was a significant difference between the two power, economy, or wear wise for on road driving.

I think you're right to focus on the width, I'd be more concerned about a quarter of an inch width than I would be about 6 pounds.. I'm guessing the Maxx has better (slower) tread wear?

You should be the first to regear a gen 3!:D
