Hi, wondering how big of an amp I could fit under the driver or passenger seat. Is 22x10x3" too big? Thanks

Yes that's too big I think. But start by getting down there and making a measurement. 22" is likely too long but the other dimensions should be OK.

The real issue with either seat is that there's stuff underneath there. Each side has a plastic outlet for heater air and in particular, the passenger side has an electrical box of some kind under the carpet. Look at the way the carpet bulges up under each seat for more clues. Best way, before purchasing is to remove the seat, discover the true area you have, then buy the amp.

Don't freak if the floor isn't 100% flat where you want to place the amp, just so long as the screws engage the floor metal enough.

Here, I've got an inverter and a 2-ch amp (6" X 7" maybe?) under the driver's seat with two component crossovers (stacked). Had to use right-angle adapters on the RCAs going into the amp because I wanted at least an inch or two between amp and inverter. The inverter doesn't sit 100% flat but is rock solid on the floor after screwing it down some. The passenger side I left alone in case I want to put a second, larger amp in later for a subwoofer. I could NOT have put all that you see here under the passenger seat due to some electrical stuff under the carpet there.

Then again maybe the driver's side has stuff under the carpet too. Look to the left of that Whistler inverter in my pic. That carpet has a bulge like the pass side does in that spot.

Short version: You just don't have 100% of the available length and width underneath that's useful. 3" height is about the max I'd go without fear of hitting anything related to the bottom seat cushion.

Fun fact: My amp worked without the ground wire ... while the seat was out I was fiddling with adjustments and had forgotten to temporarily reconnect it to that seat bolt you see ... so it was indeed getting ground from the RCAs (which after all, are ultimately still grounded ...) but man, that would have roached something bad if I'd have cranked the volume and made the amplifier start pulling serious power. Moral of the story: check that the amp can power-up without RCAs connected!

    Good luck!

A lift, some wheels, some tires, some performance, some cosmetic and then audio.
I have a JL Audio HD750/1 under the driverside seat and the same size chassis but the HD600/4 under the passenger side seat. I also managed to fit the 300/4 Slash under the passenger side as well before the HD600/4.

You may be able to fit the SM H500, which is a very powerful Class AB/D 5 channel
