Columbus, OH here. I ordered mine last week, dealer said order placed on Monday and it'll be here in 6 weeks. Still trying to get a VIN number and delivery date from them. If everyone is saying 2-3 Months, I'm a bit scared, I hope it's not true, but then again, I'm in no rush.

Just ordered a TRD OR 4x4 DblCab( w/JBL tech package, tow package, grey ext./black int.) Tuesday last week. Dealer called this morning and said the order was accepted and that the delivery date should be 1st week of Dec. at latest, so roughly 8 weeks.
This is my first Tacoma, but I enjoyed driving the '16 SR5 that another dealer had on the lot so I'm pretty sure I'm going to like it. 2 months seems like an eternity right now though!

ant smoking nothing - V 8 Tundra is a big time seller - - it is a family vehicle - work vehicle, farm vehicle and big time hunting and fishing vehicle. Who pulls four wheelers and trailer and or a bass boat rig with a V 6. I see 10 times more big V 8 trucks than I see Tacoma size trucks on most interstate hwy. Manufacturing plants or as we call them - plant workers - big V 8 trucks fill these parking lots.

I went to Toyota West www.toyotawestohio.com which is located just south of Columbus. MSRP for the truck I wanted was 39 something, but I got them to agree to 36k before TTL. So that's 3k and then some off of MSRP. I've been dealing with Jaquine Williams there, if you get a chance to talk to him, tell him Alex sent ya :).

Talked to them the first week of sept and told them exactly what I wanted. They found an allocation from a dealer about 500 miles away. They went ahead and locked it in and I went up 9/5 to give them some cash and put my name on it.

Anybody ordered a 4X4 anything lately - how long is your wait to your dealer?

UPDATE _ My dealer told me my friend ordering ac cab 4X4 with no extras is a long wait - Toyota does not make a lot of 4X4 strip downs pre runner - they sell 4X4 with more expensive packages - so that is why buying 2 Tacoma's cash or no cash is a long wait of 3 months maybe more. Economics of the assembly line - which below helps explain my wait problem.

My dealer has been getting in a steady supply every week - now 5 on lot to sell - has a 4X2 DCSB Red Sport loaded sitting on showroom floor - my truck exactly without 4 wheel drive. 4X4 is my problem as very few are shipping to dealers in early supply // in normal times if my dealer has 15 Tacoma's to sell - maybe one or two is 4x4. Have had 6 4x4 Tacoma's - always have trouble finding one with packages I like.

4X4 it is not a priority for Toyota because not a big demand in Tacoma Models. - // I guess this is why my dealer after placing my order over a week ago week still has nothing from Toyota on my build date - nothing period.
