No video, no event/drama really haha. I noticed noise coming from the front passenger side, so I crawled under and noticed the one break in the spring near the seat. That's what motivated the swap. The chunk on the drivers side was in place up til the point where we were taking it off the truck and the chunk of spring literally fell off in my hand.

This is the picture I took initially when I noticed the first crack in the spring. At that point (Aug 10) that was the only crack I was aware of:

Jay are we still going to try to put a Fall run together up your way?

I will actually bring the tacoma up if it survives Silver lake on the 17th. Already have lots to fix just to make the Silver Lake trip but should get it done.

I don't have details yet but the Troll Color Tour should be that same weekend of the 17th. I'm planning on crashing it with either the Rubicon or Tacoma... haven't decided which yet

Waiting on info still, but in the past it's been Pellston to Cross Village on trails. No clue about any other details. A few friends from michiganwheelers.com run it and I've never personally been... It's the only thing I'd consider gentle enough to take my taco on... but I'm unsure yet how extreme it's going to be.

Fair warning... they're mostly jeep people... (as am I... I'm thinking of bringing my 2004 Rubicon... I might bring the truck though for comfort)

From what I'm seeing it looks easy for all styles of rigs. Should be a walk in the park for a taco.

    Hey guys!
I'm a new Taco owner in the West Michigan area. I thought I would introduce myself.
My truck is a 2015 TRD Off Road
Everything is stock right now. I eventually want to get new tires, wheels, and a new rear bumper. (I'm really not a fan of chrome)
I've made a few cosmetic changes to it, dipped the decals, and replaced the front grill surround.

I saw this beauty in Midland Sunday.
I see plenty of Tacoma's around here, wish they would post up and get some meet and greet get together stuff going on.

Welcome hvacer. Where at in West MI? If you haven't been to Silver Lake you should go. Take the cap off first though. You don't need it popping off. If you know any trails out your way let me know and I'll try to swing by and meet up. If you're ever in the Lansing area hit me up.

So atvlifestyle and I were discussing doing a fall trail run sometime in the next couple months. It would probably be somewhere in manistee national forest southeast of Silver Lake ish. Would anyone else be interested?

Here are some shots of previous times:

    Reserected from the dead.

I met this owner last month. He actually asked about my ARB clone that I built for my truck. I know he was really wanting a bumper to replace the light bar/skid thing. If I remember, I thought he said he was a member here. I'm old and memory isn't so sharp these days.

Uncle Jimmi and I at least are thinking of doing a trail ride on October 17th. I don't know exactly where, he's the mastermind. Last time we went out it was in northern White Cloud to southern Manistee area.

I live and work in the Grand Rapids area. I'm not really into off roading on dunes yet. Maybe I'll give it a try though.
I don't know of too many trails out by me, other than Yankee Springs Rec. Area.

The Dunes really aren't that big of a deal. I met up with atvlifestyle a few years ago and what he told me was true. Your stock truck will do just fine. Mine is stock with the exception of wheels/tires, rock sliders, and magnaflo exhaust. Just take it easy. It's a good time. I tend to stay away from the offroad parks. Its a good way to beat your truck up. The two that I have been to (Rocks and Valleys and The Mounds) seem to be designed for crawlers and mud boggers. Anyway, atvlifestyle is a good dude and will point you in the right direction when it comes to the capabilities and limitations of your truck. Good Luck out there and maybe we will see each other some time.

Very true, I've never been to the mounds, but Rocks and Valleys is a place I'd never take my truck to. My Jeep goes there all the time though... but not the truck. I care too much about it.

What date are we thinking for this? I can pretty much do any weekend after the 24th.

I'll be at Silver Lake this saturday if anyone wants to come up.

This Saturday will be near the end of peak color.
There are some trees that have lost all their leaves while most of them are busting with full color.
It's the perfect scenario for a scenic ride through the forest.
I have two different routes in mind for this Saturday, one that requires ORV stickers and one that does not.
This Saturday's route will be wide without mud holes and will not harm anyone's new truck in any way. I scout trails in my old beater and take notes of which ones are suitable for my new baby.
It seems like one of the best spots for us to meet is in Baldwin located in the Manistee National Forest
I am most familiar with the trails and routes through the Roscommon forest, Leota trails own up to St Helens scramble area.
I would like to meet up between 10 and 11 and roll out between 11 and 12 the earlier the better
I have a small gas grill and we will be having lunch on the trail hot dogs are on me so I need to know who all is coming please tell your friends and invite anyone it doesn't have to be Toyotas only
Share this on your facebook or another 4x4 forum if you have one, let's all get together and hit the trails
