Looks like I have been corrected, it is the rear shock. Which is kind of funny because apparently they are a PITA to get out, and my just popped off. My first 4Runner was a Red 1987 4Runner, the name kind of stuck

 

duuudee what happened that 1st gen? no longer own it?

 

I had that 12 years ago, sold it to my brother and he put a Total Choas long travel kit in the front and Deavers in the rear. He ended up selling it before he moved to Texas. I miss that car like no other, had every option minues the moonroof. Had power mirros and locks, the body was in near perfect condition.

i keep forgetting to invite you to the 4runner room.

not many of us here, so the thread can be a little slow .

 

I had a leak out of my radiator develop a few weeks ago.
Replaced most of my cooling system:
Radiator, radiator hoses, thermostat.
Also had a little mishap with a rogue screwdriver. Pierced a hole in my condensor and lost all my freon. Had to install a new condensor.

 

Lots of hard work going on with your 4Runner. Hopefully I can get my shock off tomorrow, TPS installed and TRD stickers installed tomorrow or Wednesday.

whered you get them from?

Seem to be good quality. I got some other ones but they sucked and kept sticking to the backing. Hopefully they go on better.

I am sure you could find someone to make those for you. I feel like the TRD stickers add a little flare to the rear end of the 4Runner. Looks a little plane without them.

Hi all, I mostly hang out in the Florida section. Good group that wheels pretty often, that's why I originally joined, to have people to wheel with.

Picked up my 89 a few years ago never having owned a Toyota. I always liked them, my buddy in high school had a beautiful 85 pickup and wanted one ever since.

Anyways here's my build thread. SAS, ARB rear, Spartan front, rear springs and shocks, Onboard air, and a bunch of other stuff I'm forgetting. Paint, motor swap, dual cases and 3 link will happen at some point.
