I still like my $60 Chinese ones, they are fanless and driver-less.

    Finally got some pics.

Just lost one of my 10 year old 100/60 watt H4's they are most likely brighter than the LED's. I'll buy a couple more for less than $40. I like the ideal of the higher color temp LED's but I find the H4's to make all the light I need.

The reason they are failing is due to the constant head from the engine compartment on the drivers. Instead they should mount them to the bulb itself.

Not the only reason. My fiancés Honda had the ballasts in the fender liner, seperate from the engine bay with more airflow.

Well lifetime led refused to give me a refund but I guess they got the hint after my leds failed 3 times and I complained that the recent failure caused me to fail inspection... they sent me the upgraded leds for free. Previously they had offered to send em for an additional 80 bucks or a new set if the same old style for free. They also usually ask me to return the old ones, this time they did not. These new ones don't even require a driver ballast thingie. Kinda excited to try em out

The projectors will still be crappy halogen bulbs... :)

Sure you don't want to take your Lifetime LEDs with you???? :boink:

There is probably a reason for that. After 3 failures and a fight for a life time replacement I think I would put the halogens back in.

So are people still buying these? Or has this strictly turned into a replacement thread? Output looks awesome, but I'm obviously hesitant (I didn't have to read too far into the 56 pages to make up my mind).

The first pair I bought were crap. One went out after about a week and they replaced it. When the next one went out a few months later, they told me there was a new model out and they'd upgrade mine. That set has been awesome. You can actually see a difference in high and low beams. Output is great. No blinking or any other issues so far.

I agree, mine finally went out after 1 1/2 years which was equal to the Piaa extreme white. The driver side went out after flickering for a few seconds during a burger run. I went with some Phillips WhiteVision 4300K  I'll post when I get them installed.

I bought OPT7 LEDS. They work great so far, no issues, lots of light. They do scatter like HIDS though, that's the bad news. Might need projectors in the future. Other than that no complaints here!

The output is far from awesome, and I don't know how anybody would buy them after reading this thread.

If you want some, I have two sets in my garage just waiting for you. One of them has never even been taken out of the box.
