Best Toyota offered me when I bought mine 18 months ago was 1.9%. I got the impression that anything lower through Toyota Financial would be on models that don't sell quickly, of which the Tacoma is not one.

I just refinanced with my local CU at 1.49%. I've entertained the notion of paying it off sooner but at 1.49% it's almost free money.

All meaningless attempts by the banksters to get us to pile deeper into debt. Going full retar
Sweet. I'm finding a few of the local banks are around that level on shorter terms.

Toyota considers 720+ to be in their Tier 1+ category for financing. If you are above the 720, you should be able to negotiate a bit on the IR.

Not only that but if you are not going to pay off the truck in the first year on a three year note which I prefer, or first two years on a five year note, may as well make all the payments . Most of the interest is paid up front. If I finance I will be paying $33 a month interest in the first year it will decrease from there.

No one makes a "ton of money" financing $30K at 2% for 60 months... BUT when a dealer sells that rate to three buyers in a day they make $4800 "extra" doing the financing.. THAT is why they will beat bank and CU rates. The F&I guy sells high volume loans and that generates tons of money for the dealership (and his pocket)

5 sales of $30K 2% loans is extra profit of over $7000 in a day. Adds up fast,

Where did you find a dealer willing to deal strict invoice? I found one thats just over invoice but still has the BS 599 dealer fee. Gonna try and get out of that as well

Internet manager @ Florence Toyota SC. Gave me a price of $36665 for a 4x4 Limited OTD with only towing No tonneau, No other options. But they are flooded up there and many roads cannot be traversed.

in order to keep my sale local, I offered my dealer $500 more than the Florence offer and they accepted it. That includes their $349 Doc Fee. The Doc Fee is part of the Cap cost as far as I'm concerned and additional profit.

I should have the vehicle in the next 10 days or so.. THEN I will put the numbers up I ended up paying. Right now the deal is in my SIG. I have a VIN but I am worried the truck may not have the FP package (JBL) and instead the HH. I won't take delivery of a non JBL truck.

Your deal is not bad though. MANY are paying MSRP. I won't but I have other vehicles to drive. Even $1000 (including Doc Fee) over invoice would be a deal many would take if offered.

I bought a brand new 2015 on Friday. My bank gave me 1.75% for 72 months. Took it to the dealer and the best they could do was 2.15%

Christian Community Credit Union out of California. Actually, they offered me 1.49% for 72 months if I opened a checking account with them. I didn't, hence the 1.75% -- it is only ~$2.00 extra per month so no big deal.
