Got mine ordered today! 500 over invoice. Quicksand, Dbl Cab, TRD O/R, manual, Tow, mud guards, a/w mats, door sill protectors, bed mat. Took a solid two weeks of negotiating amongst the local dealers to get this low. I'm pretty happy with it.

    Now the waiting game...

I wonder if ppl include any BS doc fees in the prices.

I am $700 over invoice for DCSB MT O/R manual with Prem/Tech and Tow and that includes $300 doc fee.

If you include the doc fee I ended up at 800 over.

You should look into removing the bed cover. They leave 6 big hooks in the bed sides

I ordered from Price LeBlanc in Baton Rouge. They assured me that upon arrival, they would remove the cover (and the nail/hooks in the side moulding) and replace it with a bed railing from a sport or off road edition.

Still trying to find out exactly when my build date is. The salesman who helped me out said he'd call once he knows.

    Where did you buy? I show sticker for my area to be 30765 + 650 + 950 = 32,365. That's the TRD Sport + tow + dest.

If you got that plus title and other fees for $33k, you did good. 2k off MSRP is good.

Here was the breakdown of the sticker:

    4X2 TRD Sport DCSB - $30,765.00
    Towing Package - $650.00
    Manuf. Delv, Proc - $935.00
    Dealer Doc Fee - $599.00

    Total: $32,949

We finally agreed upon: $31,010 including the dealer doc fee. So technically I was $1,939 below MSRP before taxes. I'm there are people who will do better but I am happy with the deal.

I am located in Georgia so with our one-time 7% tax (replaced the annual ad-valorem in Georgia...no more birthday bill), I was just a touch over $33,000.

man I hated that ad valorem tax when I bought my 91 Cressida when I lived in GA (Columbus). $400 for tags for the first year sucked. now I just pay a 5% on the vehicle (unless trade in, then its the difference).

tax for the new Tacoma should be only $500 since we are doing a trade in.

They are almost pure profit for the dealer. Some state's place a limit on them, others don't. Georgia does not place a limit but requires by law that the dealer charge the same doc fee to every customer. Therefore, you have to negotiate the actual car price lower to try to make up for it.

I plan to use TrueCar right before going into the dealer. I will use multiple zip codes if I have to. I drove to Ohio to buy a care one time so I am willing to travel to get the right deal.

MD has a $300 limit on the dealer document fee, however by going out of state I was able to get a deal that was $1,000 lower than the best I had in MD. Most dealers were not even willing to budge much from MSRP. Only downfall is the dealer fee in VA is $599. But thats still a $700 net savings. I'm going to see if I can get them to cut it in half to match the MD rate and I'm going to be strict on how much I will take for my trade. Already have a few appraisals, hoping to get 28-29k for trade. Best so far is 28k in writing.

I was quoted at $35,816 for a TRD Sport DCLB V6 4x4 with towing and tech package. Just under $500 over invoice. With dealer fee I should be about $1,000 over invoice and military rebate will actually bring me under invoice. The tax credit from my trade will minimize taxes and I am transferring my tags. Hoping to get out the door for about $7k difference between my old one and new one

$2164 off MSRP seems like a reasonable discount to me. Wish I could get that on the Sport I want.

I am getting the same truck and options with a quote of $38835. was 38385, but the dealer called yesterday and said that too many people are trying to buy the same truck for MSRP, so he raised the price 500. I was extremely pissed off, but it's still a much better deal than if I went with another dealer, and I will just get the price off another way...maybe throw in a bed extender and all weather mats for the 38835 or need more for my trade.
