That's where the argument breaks down imo, do you know how many penalties get called in a situation where declined is automatic? Maybe if they called it every time without fail you wouldn't have two hall of famers on live TV saying they didn't know about the rule.

Yea technically speaking though, if you go with the rule book the flag should have been thrown and Detroit should have had the ball on the 1 yard line... but this shit happens, there were like 3 bad calls/no calls in the playoffs last year that resulted in a team winning at the end of the game.

The refs blew a call, no big deal - sometimes it goes your way, most of the time it doesn't. Part of the game IMO. Seattle's defense looks good, but for fuck sake, the O line needs addressing. Maybe change out some players or something because they fucking suck hind tit. When you have two good running backs, one of them possibly the best in the league, who can't rush for shit, the problem probably isn't them.... Luke, you better hope they get better pal, gonna be a long season if they don't, as the way the Hawks are winning isn't sustainable against even a mediocre team.

No one to swap out really, I think they'll get better.

    I hope.

Every team has a practice squad, promote some of those fucks, if nothing else it'll at least light a fire under the starters asses to do better....

You had me in your corner until this lame statement. Not that you would care about that, but, come on man, that was really weak.

LOL especially when he admitted to batting it.

"As soon as Calvin went down, I saw the ball bouncing, bouncing, bouncing and I was running so I just tried to knock it out," Wright said. "I wanted to just knock it out of bounds and not try to catch it and fumble it," he continued. "I just tried to make a good play for my team."

No you guys misunderstand my comment.

The ref didn't throw the flag and we are left to ask "why"

    Either:

    A) He didn't know the rule

    or

    B) He didn't think the action was "overt" as described in the rule, my comment was just looking for a reason of how B could apply.

I was just explaining how B might be plausible to the ref, that is the same explanation Blandino gave to us. Personally I think the ref just didn't know the rule or mind farted on the rule.

We didn't misunderstand your comment. .. Arguably, he touched the ball with his palm... not necessarily a batting.

This very much looks like someone arguing whether or not the ball was batted. Not whether he knew the rule(a), or how the ref saw the rule(b). Now it just looks like you're backpedalling.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BugpXXgU-5k

Either way, it doesn't matter. Johnson coughed up the ball on a heads up play by Chancellor. 'hawks win. Too bad for Detroit.

Evidently, the Hawks are supposed to win on Monday night. This is their latest "Fail Mary" gift. Even Carroll knows they got a gift. "Now that you look at it, we were very fortunate" Yeah, you were Pete. The Hawks aren't exactly blowing anybody out of the water score wise. It's a long road to the Big Game for them this season.

I don't know what to make of anymore. I think the blame game for ruining Kaepernick can only go so far without acknowledging his own lack of skill at the position. Good QB's find a way to get it done. I wanted to believe in the guy, but he is looking like he is completely psyched out at this time. A lot of folks blame getting rid of Harbaugh, but the Niners only went 500 last season with him. Kaps been getting worse every season despite whos in charge. Overthrows, underthrows ,misreads, that's on him.

Oh, he's a major head case right now. He should go talk to Steve Sax, or Chuck Knoblach, both 2nd basemen who suddenly couldn't throw to 1st base.

I like Kaep, I think he's a good young, raw talent. The issue is... Who the fuck does he have? He has no playmakers on his team, and Hyde is turning into a mega fail as the weeks go on. So, now, you have a young, inexperienced QB who is forced to try to throw it to people who can't catch, or run it himself to pick up any yards while being expected to take hits because of his size. It's not a fair situation for him to be in, I think Tomsula has no fucking idea what to do, and it's hurting Kaep. The kid has all the measurables, and has proven he can win - changing literally everything on him, and taking away all his guys was fucking stupid. But... He wanted to get paid, was looking out for himself only with that contract, and this is what happens, your skill positions diminish because... No $$.

I would agree to a point. Their receivers are old. Though that doesn't necessarily equate to done. see Steve Smith Sr. Though now hurt, he was kicking ass. And Carlos Hyde is a premier back. But with no O-Line, all offense suffers. Kaep has shown he has talent, but he's been pushed and prodded, I don't think he knows if he's coming or going. And that has killed his confidence. Tomsula may well be in over his head. And you can point right to York and Balke for that situation.

Agree whole heartedly. This franchise went from being really good to really bad, really fast. And it's all because of York and Baalke.
