When I purchased my truck, I tried to make the dealer swap them out for black or the predator tubes. The dealer ended up just discounting the price of the tubes ($650) so I'm kind of stuck with them until I can get some real tubes or sliders. So I dipped 'em.

Ya, I'm curious how long it will last. Who knows, I might take more extreme measures later.

I had an extra can of plasti dip and I did mine, and they've lasted a couple months. One little area is starting to peel, but I'm not too worried about it considering the price. Definitely a big improvement over chrome

Definitely a big improvement over chrome. As other have said, it will probably not last very long, but it is a good way to see what it looks like black vs chrome, and then you can decide where to go with it for a more permanent coating.

I love the white OR...geez now crunching numbers.
My bars on my 2013 are already black so that would save some $$$.
    Nice job OP :)

They look good, but you might want to try Cerakote for a more durable finish.

I had an STi and dipped the wheels with 4 coats. When I sold it two years later they still looked good, no peeling anywhere. I think it has a lot do with how much you put on.
